It is generally acknowledged that the breaking of inversion symmetry is essential for the existence of an anomalous photovoltaic (APV) effect. In article number 1801619, Yongxiang Li, Zhiguo Yi, and co‐workers report the discovery of an APV effect in a centrosymmetric vanadate, where noticeable above‐bandgap photovoltage and steady‐state photocurrent are observed even when illuminated under visible light.
