The spectral behavior of molecular aggregates has been successfully understood in terms of Kasha’s model. In this issue of Chem, Chuang et al. describe a generalization to explain the spectral behavior of two-dimensional molecular aggregates. They provide a spectral handle to determine the slip between molecules in the two-dimensional packing.
