Biogenic Synthesis of Mn-Ag co-doped FeO (Fe1-2xMnxAgx) Nanoparticles: As an effective disinfectant and anticancer agent

Abstract A nature-friendly method was developed to synthesize novel Mn-Ag co-doped FeO nanoparticles using Solanum Trilobatum leaf extract. Crystallinity nature, size, morphology and chemical composition were analysed from high resolution characterisation techniques such as XRD-XPS, FESEM-EDS, SEM-TEM, ICP-CHNS, UV–visible, FTIR, FT-Raman and Zeta potential. X-ray diffraction evident the cubic phase of the nanoparticles, FESEM images gives the glimpse of agglomerated nano-spherical shaped FeO particles and ICP measures the Fe content in the samples. Mn-Ag co-doped FeO nanoparticles showed a convincing result for antibacterial activity and also acted as a powerful factor in MTT assay performed against MCF-7 cells compared to HeLa cells and also it doesn’t show high effectivity against Vero cells. Hence, this Mn-Ag Co-doped FeO nanoparticles can bring a modulation in anticancer drug delivery system.
