The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology is pleased to announce the refreshment of some sections of the journal, with the launch of several . Our In Focus section has now been expanded to include Patient Perspectives and Patients' Voice—informal, conversational-style pieces authored by patients or patient advocates, respectively. Additionally, we are now publishing selected News pieces, including investigative reports. Our green section, which has traditionally included Reviews and Personal Views, as well as consensus statements and clinical guidelines, is now also home to a new article type entitled —short historical perspectives that commemorate landmark occasions or events. This issue of The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology includes the inaugural TimeCapsule, which marks the 80th anniversary of the death of Harvey Cushing. Since visuals are key in teaching clinical excellence, we will soon relaunch Clinical Pictures—which should provide novel visual information about an endocrine disease or condition that will be useful, educational, and interesting to other clinicians. Finally, the beginning of the new year will see the launch of Tribute—a collection of obituary-like pieces in honour of recently deceased investigators in the fields of diabetes and endocrinology.
