Piper amides have an important notoriety due to their medicinal, commercial and economic impact being broadly analyzed regarding the occurrence, pharmacology, chemistry, distribution and biological activity for the scientific community. A large amount of NMR data for these natural products is dispersed throughout literature. This review summarizes and organize the of 268 Piper amides with a discussion on their biological activities, biosynthetic aspects and NMR analysis. Its organization helps those research groups interested in their identification and structural elucidation.
