Synthesis and photocatalytic characterization of fluorescent conducting β2-SiW11Ti/PANI dopant material

Abstarct β2-SiW11Ti/PANI was synthesized in the solid-phase and characterized by UV–Vis, IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), N2 adsorption desorption, and fluorescence spectroscopy. Thermal stability and conducting behavior were studied. Dopant material exhibited excellent photocatalytic properties for degradation of methylene blue in aqueous solution under UV and sunlight irradiation. The possible mechanism of photocatalytic activity of dopant material was also discussed and schematized.
