The World Stroke Organization (WSO) is recognized by the World Health Organization as the sole global non-governmental organization (NGO) for stroke. The WSO undertakes and supports various educational activities for health professionals and lay providers in best practice stroke care. This includes organizing the biennial World Stroke Congress, supporting regional conferences and teaching courses, and engaging with a network of Stroke Support Organizations (SSO).¹
