Chikungunya fever (CF) is an arthropod-borne infection identified in nearly 40 countries, with endemicity in Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and Africa.¹ It is caused by the chikungunya virus and spread by Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus mosquitos.
