Heterogeneous electrospinning nanofiber membranes (HENMs) were constructed by electrospinning technology. HENMs demonstrate the fundamental property of ion gating, thus offering an adjustable gating effect for tunable energy conversion. This work has widespread potential for the application of smart nanofluidic devices, energy conversion, and water treatment.
