Generation of the second harmonic during propagation of an extremely short optical pulse in a medium with chiral carbon nanotubes

In this paper, the propagation of electromagnetic pulse in the medium of single-walled carbon nanotubes (chiral type) is investigated. The existence of the second harmonic generation mode, which was not observed at the initial time, is revealed. A high second harmonic output is set, as well as the dependence of the second harmonic output on the problem parameters. It is proposed to use this effect to generate entangled photons.
