On preconditioning of double saddle point linear systems arising from liquid crystal director modeling

We establish an effective iteration method for solving the double saddle point problems arising from liquid crystal director modeling. The convergence property of the proposed iteration method is studied in detail and the induced preconditioner is used to accelerate the Krylov subspace iteration methods. Moreover, the spectral property of this preconditioned matrix is investigated. Numerical example validates the efficiency of the proposed preconditioner.
