In this note it is shown that J. Willems’ and R. Brockett’s time-varying version of the powerful multiplier class of R. O’Shea, G. Zames and P. Falb does not enhance absolute stability tests for Lur’e interconnections with sector-bounded nonlinearities if the main plant is time-invariant.
