Glass Transition of Oil Fractions

Glass transition processes occurring in the wide heavy fraction of Kumkolsk oil and its six narrow heavy fractions across the temperature range of 150–370 K were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry. Glass transition in the narrow fractions under study undergoes at different temperatures. Two of the most widely used equations that relate the glass transition temperature of a mixture (wide heavy fraction) and its components (narrow heavy fractions) were tested, both linear additive and inverse-additive relationships.
