ABSTRACT

This article will detail a case study of Concordia University’s path from operating separate services of physical course reserves and media collections to pivoting toward the pandemic-prompted implementation of a new, large-scale, integrated streaming media course reserve service. While many libraries have offered streaming media and course reserve services during and prior to the pandemic’s arrival, this article brings to light how institutions can quickly upscale and blend services when unexpected events – like pandemics – create needs for fast optimization.
