Abstract

As a new kind of carbon nanomaterial, MXene not only has the characteristics of high specific surface area and high conductivity, but also has the advantages of flexible composition and controllable minimum nanometer thickness. The large specific surface and large number of functional groups provide rich active sites for it, which is an ideal adsorbent for the removal of heavy metal ions and dyes [1 Novoselov et al., Electric field effect in atomically thin carbon films, Science 306 (5696), 666 (2004).
