Circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) are emerging biomarkers for prostate cancer (PCa). A one-step thermophoretic AND gate operation (Tango) assay for accurate identification of PCa-derived EVs directly in serum samples within 15 min is reported. The assay reached an overall accuracy of 91 % in discriminating PCa from benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in a single-step format, showing great potential for rapid, non-invasive diagnosis of cancers.
