Auto-Bäcklund transformations, Lax pair, bilinear forms and bright solitons for an extended (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation in an optical fiber

In this Letter, we investigate an extended (3+1)-dimensional nonlinear Schrödinger equation in an optical fiber. Via the truncated Laurent expansions, auto-Bäcklund transformations are obtained. According to the Ablowitz-Kaup-Newell-Segur procedure, we derive a Lax pair under certain optical-fiber coefficient constraints. Via the Hirota method, we obtain some bilinear forms, bright two-soliton and bright three-soliton solutions under certain optical-fiber coefficient constraints.
