Gas Motion in Reservoir-Well System Subject to Heat Transfer

Abstract

A model of non-stationary gas flow in the reservoir-well system was built with consideration of the heat transfer between the gas flow in the pipe and the environment of the gas flow, and solutions to boundary value problems were given. In the first approximation, the influence of change in the rheological properties of the gas depending on the temperature on the dynamics of the gas motion is determined. Analytical formulas were obtained for determination of the dynamics of pressure at the well bottomhole and the productivity of the reservoir depending on the parameters of the system. Numerical calculations were done for practical values of the system parameters.
