Weighted Alamouti Media-Based Modulation

A weighted Alamouti (WA) media-based modulation (WA-MBM) scheme is presented. In this scheme, the real and imaginary parts of the diagonal and anti-diagonal WA codes are interleaved and transmitted according to a well-designed MBM channel states activation approach, so that the spatial resource units in both diagonal and anti-diagonal directions of WA-MBM signal are fully exploited to achieve higher spectral efficiency. The maximum-likelihood (ML) detection and theoretical average bit error probability (ABEP) for WA-MBM are derived. Simulation results demonstrate obvious performance improvement of WA-MBM over some existing MBM schemes.
