Iridium-catalyzed intramolecular oxidative C−H/C−H coupling reactions have been developed to rapidly build a library of structurally and functionally diverse benzoheteroaromatic-fused pyridine skeletons. This new synthetic strategy allowed to explore and highlight the high performance of bipolar host materials for blue OLEDs.
