Individualization and Ethnopedagogy at Small Elementary Schools

The article discusses professional teaching training for tutoringand primary education at a small-scale rural school, wherethere are prolific opportunities for individualizing the educationalprocess and creating conditions that foster personal developmentof primary schoolchildren. Educational quality is indicated by theformation of ethnocultural identity and ethnic self-knowledge; thisis the basis for the development of harmonious interethnic relationsin multicultural societies. The article presents a model for the developmentof ethnopedagogical competence in the primary schoolteacher, the ethnopedagogy of the educational process, and the formationof the pan-Russian civic identity as a condition for the successfulimplementation of the new primary school standards.
