Lattice-confined Co single-atom catalysts for stable oxygen evolution

In this issue of Chem Catalysis, Yoon and colleagues report a cobalt (Co) single-atom catalyst anchored on highly crystalline V2O5·nH2O nanobelts by template-assisted synthesis, and it exhibits a stable oxygen evolution performance (over 450 h) in Zn-air batteries due to efficient lattice confinement to isolated Co atoms with strong oxygen-coordinated ability.
