Effect of the Landau–Zener Transitions on the ac Susceptibility Shape

Abstract

A model spin system S = 1 with a strongly anisotropic g factor is considered. The response of the system on low-frequency ac magnetic field is calculated numerically. The effect of the Landau–Zener transitions on the system response in the passage through the vicinity of the anticrossing energy levels. The ac susceptibility is calculated and the influence of such transitions on the position of the ac susceptibility maximum.
