Multinuclear coordination of fused benzene ring hydrocarbons

This review covers coordination behavior of fused benzene ring hydrocarbons (FBHs) in di- or multinuclear metal complexes. The FBHs have proved useful in binding of two or more metal atoms with and without metal–metal bonds. Several new aspects on the coordination behavior of FBHs, especially the coordination modes to multinuclear metal moieties are reported.
