Regulation of product distribution in CO2 hydrogenation to light olefins

Conversion of CO2 into specific light olefins with high selectivity is a challenge. In this issue of Chem, Fan and co-workers propose an ethanol-intermediate route with the design of a new catalyst: Cr2O3(SG)/H-SAPO-34. The C2=–C4= selectivity can reach 95.7%, and ethene accounts for 74% of light olefins in CO2 hydrogenation.
