Abstract

The experimental, technological, and theoretical regularities of the formation and change in the position of magnetic vortex structures depending on the external applied magnetic field are considered. It is shown by the method of micromagnetic modeling that on cylindrical magnetic structures the position of the vortex is controlled by an external magnetic field. The magnetic vortex can be located both on the base and on the side walls of cylindrical structures, depending on the parameters of the system. The investigated effect can be used to create magnetic memory on structures with magnetic vortices.
