Power Consumption, Control of Properties and of Continuous Annealing Process of Copper and Brass Rolled Products in Transverse Magnetic Field

The characteristics of power consumption are considered depending on the parameters of the billet, on the design of the facility, and on the mode of TFIH annealing of copper and brass ribbons. The mechanical properties of the alloys are determined. Amethod for indirect online power control and control of the TFIH process is suggested for obtaining rolled products in the states of retrogression, primary and secondary recrystallization. Comparative analysis of the effect of variable thickness of rolled ribbons on the energy intensity, scattering of the properties due to different kinds of annealing and accuracy of the ribbon sizes in subsequent rolling is performed. Induction annealing in transverse magnetic field is shown to be the most advantageous under the condition of online power control.
