The neurobiology of psychotic disorders and schizophrenia remains a primary enigma. Hypotheses including underlying dopaminergic and glutamatergic dysfunction, neuroinflammation, and oxidative stress have all been proposed and are not mutually exclusive. This inaugural seminar, at the Institute of Mental Health, University of Nottingham (November 24, 2021), brought together leaders in the field to discuss the current state of our understanding.
