Correlations between Outside Temperature and Energy Consumption of Biogas Upgrading Plants

The aim of this research was to prove or refute the existence of a correlation between outside temperature and the energy consumption of large biomethane injecting plants. To this end, data of four biomethane plants in Germany from March 1, 2019 to February 28, 2021 were gathered and correlated. To rule out different factors, the data were gathered as daily production sums and daily averages. It was found that no correlation exists and that this was consistent for all four plants.
