Abstract

A method for producing metamaterial cross-linked polyvinyl alcohol–magnetite nanoparticles based on the chemical deposition of Fe3O4 ions with NH3 solution into the volume of polymer granules is considered. The granules of the metamaterial are used as a sensor element for determining the composition of solutions by optical micrometry: the kinetic dependences of the swelling of the granules in solutions of aliphatic acids and their sodium salts and sugars are studied. The doping of the polymer with Fe3O4 particles increases the measurement accuracy at the initial part of the kinetic curve.
