To the Editor I wish to congratulate Chen et al on their recent publication in which they have demonstrated feasibility of fully online teleguided laser photocoagulation treatment. As such, they have further advanced the original concept of retinal telephotocoagulation with offline image-based treatment planning. Chen et al have shown the ability to plan the treatment online while having an expert available for consulting in real time.
