Conversion of the Fuel Compositions of Peat and Rapeseed Oil into Producer Gas

Abstract

The allothermal conversion of a fuel mixture consisting of peat and rapeseed oil under the action of a powerful flux of visible light is considered. It was found that a mixture containing 65 wt % rapeseed oil can be converted at atmospheric pressure into producer gas in which a ratio between the partial volumes of combustible and noncombustible components is higher than unity. The temperature regimes of the conversion of fuel with different rapeseed oil concentrations were analyzed. It was shown that the duration of a high-temperature (>700°C) region of fuel conversion was maximal when the fraction of rapeseed oil reached 65 wt %.
