The first nitridic analogs of micas, AESi3P4N10(NH)2 (AE=Mg, Mg0.94Ca0.06, Ca, Sr), have been prepared under high-pressure high-temperature conditions. These compounds expand the structural diversity of nitrides to mineral analogous structures, accommodating the high-pressure motif of sixfold coordinated Si. The luminescence properties of Eu2+-doped samples were investigated and narrow-band emission was revealed with emission maxima ranging from 451 nm to 492 nm.
