We have been facing the pandemic of COVID-19 for nearly 2 years. It seems that there is still a long way to go. Humanity faces choices to either fight against it or live with the virus and its variants. During this difficult period, there is no way for us just to wait and see, we have to stand up and face it together. Family as the basic unit of our society will become our base for this battle. In fact, during the pandemic, our families have been disturbed and disrupted by the virus, challenging the way each member can function and relate with each other. Simple acts such as supporting children’s schooling through to caring for elderly family members have been sites of both struggle and trauma.
