Drawing from a quota sample of adult Americans (N = 540), this survey explored how individuals who worked from home (WFH) during the COVID-19 pandemic used information communication technologies (ICTs), and the relationship use had with perceived stress. Results suggested that increased use of work-related video chat and text messaging were related to greater stress levels and that, in particular, women with multiple children experienced greater stress while working remotely. Theoretical and practical implications of the findings are discussed concerning remote work in the future.
