The combined effect of density and velocity gradients on the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability through porous medium is investigated. The linear growth rate and frequency are obtained analytically. The behavior of both growth rate and frequency with respect to the variables of the problem are analyzed. The results show that the behavior of frequency is independent on both the viscosity and medium permeability, while the porosity of the medium has a destabilizing influence on frequency. The growth rate reduces in the presence of both viscosity and medium permeability, while it enhances in the presence of porosity of the medium.
