Generally, self-assembly of dissymmetrical ligands can generate a series of isomers with similar thermodynamic stability. In this work, the conformation in the self-assembly process can be precisely controlled via the increase in ligand dissymmetry. Finally, only the cis-isomer was obtained. This strategy offered an avenue for designing metallo-supramolecular architectures based on dissymmetrical organic ligands.
