Breaking bonds: Physiological environments are rich in potential ligands for metal-based drugs and understanding their molecular interactions with biomolecules is pivotal in the design and development of the next generation of metallodrugs. Energy-resolved mass spectrometry allows for measurement of relative bond stabilities in metal-peptide adducts in a quick and simple manner, providing data on the intrinsic properties of the adducts formed.
