The structures of three cycloartane glycosides isolated from Astragalus falcatus Lam. that were cyclogalegigenin derivatives were elucidated. Compound 1 was cyclogalegigenin-3-O-β-D-(3′-Oacetyl) xylopyranosyl-(2′→1′′ )′-O-α-L-rhamnopyranosyl-6-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (cyclofalcoside A); compound 2, cyclogalegigenin-3-O-β-D-(2′-O-acetyl)xylopyranosyl-6-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (cyclofalcoside B), which were new compounds. The structures of the isolated glycosides were elucidated using mass spectral and PMR and 13C NMR spectroscopic data.
