Base Metal-terpyridine Complex Immobilized on Stationary Phase Aimed as Reusable Hydrosilylation Catalyst

The catalytic activity of a base metal-terpyridine complex immobilized on a stationary phase for hydrosilylation was investigated. Co(tpy)(OH)2-modified silica gel exhibited good catalytic activity. [Co(tpy)(OH)2] was also immobilized on the inner wall of glassware to form a “glassware catalyst”. Catalytic hydrosilylation occurred in the “glassware catalyst”, and the catalytic activity did not decrease even after 10 cycles.
