Groundwater Flow Near a Vertical Circulation Well with a Skin-Effect

Abstract

Groundwater flow in the vicinity of a vertical circulation well is considered. The article presents solutions of problems of steady-state and transient groundwater flow near a vertical circulation well in an anisotropic aquifer, taking into account skin and wellbore storage effects for pumping and injection intervals. Myatiev–Girinskii scheme was used to obtain an analytical solution of the problem of steady-state groundwater flow in the vicinity of a vertical circulation well in an aquifer consisting of two permeable horizontal layers separated by an interlayer with low permeability.
