Abstract

The reasons for the appearance of pseudoscientific, predatory journals are considered, and their main features are named. This article describes the situation with the publication of scientific research results, which worsened during the pandemic. Measures to counteract the falsification of publishing activities are presented. The validity of the use of publication activity as a criterion for evaluating the professional qualities of a scientist and teacher in different scientific disciplines is discussed.
