The work function of single walled carbon nanotubes intercalated with AgI was measured in vacuum conditions using standard local Kelvin probe force microscopy technique and height variation technique, the obtained value is of eV. The detailed discussion and examples of application of height variation technique to reveal the electronic structure of composites are given.
