I recently read an interesting article titled “Ultrasound-guided pulsed radiofrequency of the saphenous nerve in a complex regional pain syndrome patient with lower limb pain,” which was written by Oh et al.1 They described a case of a successful pain treatment for complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) type 2 after a third-degree burn on the medial side of the right knee and right tibial region, which was performed by applying pulsed radiofrequency stimulation on the saphenous nerve. Since CRPS treatment is a challenging issue in the medical field, I find their report to be meaningful; however, I have a concern regarding their diagnosis of CRPS.
