Abstract

The paper presents a method for assessing the probability of fracture of structural components of technical systems subjected to monotonic and cyclic loading, which permits taking into account the scatter of mechanical properties of materials and the size of macrodefects passed into operation by means of nondestructive testing. The presented method can be used in the implementation of probabilistic and risk-based approaches to ensuring strength, service life and safety of technical systems in real operating conditions and in adjusting standard operating programs in terms of selecting the frequency and scope of non-destructive testing.
