MoS2 nanosheets were integrated into a hierarchically porous defective MOF UiO-66. The unsaturated Mo atoms in MoS2 sheets rationally regulate contact interfaces with Zr6O4(OH)4 nodes to form Mo-O-Zr bimetallic sites. The Mo-O-Zr bimetallic sites at the interfaces allow photo-catalytic conversion of gas phase CO2 and H2O into CH3COOH and O2.
