Zn-Vacancy Engineered S-Scheme ZnCdS/ZnS Photocatalyst for Highly Efficient Photocatalytic H2 Evolution

A Zn-vacancy engineered S-scheme ZnCdS/ZnS photocatalyst derived from ZnCdS/MOF-5 was prepared in the process of photocatalytic reaction using Na2S and Na2SO3 aqueous solution as sacrificial agent. The MOF-5 derived Zn-vacancy ZnS−VZn also exhibits visible-light photoactivity. This S-scheme ZnCdS/ZnS(20) exhibits more than 82.06 and 21.98 times higher photocatalytic H2 evolution rate than that of the ZnS−VZn and ZnCdS under visible-light irradiation and high photostability.
