The Cover Feature shows the first reported molecular structure of an S-bound DMSO-ligated cobalt corrole, with a remarkably short Co-S bond length, as well as the frontier orbitals employed in multiconfigurational wavefunction calculations. These reveal that a σ-donor effect from the S atom is responsible for a closed-shell ground state configuration. The authors intimately combined experimental and theoretical techniques to elucidate aspects of the electronic structure and spectroscopic properties of this complex.
