Length–weight relationships (LWRs) were determined for three fish species from Dayang River, northeast China. The specimens were collected using drift gillnets (80 × 2 m, four mesh sizes: 4, 5, 6 and 8 cm) seasonally from April to November 2020. All LWRs were statistically significant (p < .01), with r² values being ≥0.95. This study provides a new record of LWR for Takifugu xanthopterus and the new size ranges for Planiliza haematocheila (15.6–66.2 cm) and Lateolabrax japonicus (29.9–45.4 cm).
