Biomimetic Chemistry: The catalytic performance of enzyme-mimicking hemin/G-quadruplex DNAzymes in the conjugation reaction between a luminol derivative and a tyrosine residue was substantially enhanced by conjugation to substrate-binding aptamers. Saturation kinetics show that enzyme-like catalysis is achieved, as well as substrate selectivity.
